Teens Who Care St Petersburg
100 Teens - $25 Donation - $2500 Teen Award Fund - 3 Local Nonprofits
NEW! Now accepting new members for the 2024-2025 School Year!
Teens Who Care St Pete (TWC St Pete) will meet once a year to meet and listen to 3 local nonprofits present on the mission of their organization and include a 'project' that the teens can do to get involved with them to volunteer. The teen members will vote after the presentations for which organization will receive the Teens Give Fund Award. The members will be required to tour the facility of the winning nonprofit, present the Fund Award Check and the option to continue to volunteer to complete the proposed project within the scope of the fund.
Fund Award: The TWC St Pete members will each provide a donation ($25 each annually). The TWC St Pete award provided at the meeting will be called the "Teens Who Care Award Fund". This will be raised on the TWC St Pete Grapevine platform where the funds will be collectively raised and can only be sent by check to official 501c3 organizations.
Members: Each Teen that signs up on Grapevine and donates to the fund collection ($25 each) will become a member and will be required to attend the annual meeting and an option to help complete any voted projects with the total fund award. This is a volunteer base organization and each member will receive volunteer hours.
Members can be male and female from any high school in the St Petersburg/Pinellas Area. Middle school students in the 7th and 8th grade will also be accepted to prepare to take on leadership roles once in high school. Members will be in charge of inviting others from their schools, churches and affiliations.
Teen Leadership Board: The Teen Leadership Board is Currently Full. They will renew annually.
Parent Advisory Council: A Parent Advisory Council will attend the Teen meetings to provide advisory and mentorship. The PAC will attend the annual TWC St Pete Meeting for vote and Fund Award selection.
